Xavi faces an attacking selection headache with three Barcelona stars vying for a position

FC Barcelona were hit by the unexpected loss of Ousmane Dembele late in the summer transfer window while PSG activated the Frenchman’s private release clause and seized one of the biggest differences with the Catalans.

However, despite an initial wave of concern that consists of Blaugrana fanbase after Dembele’s departure, the club seems to have no shortage of quality options.

In fact, the competition never rose higher and Xavi faced the privileged problem of choosing a starter for the right side.

Xavi has a decision

In fact, according to Mundo Deportivoafter strong performances from Raphinha, Lamine Yaml, and Ferran Torres recently, the coach should go back to scratch, evaluate them again, and choose the player to play on the right wing.

Barça face Betis next Saturday, and Xavi will be forced to go back to the drawing board with the aim of nailing down a starter for the position.

With Yamal in ascendancy, he has now started Barcelona’s last three games in La Liga.

The youngster was named the best Under-23 player in the league for August, with a goal on his Spanish national team debut showing his insane talent.

Ferran Torres, on the other hand, looked to have fully started the new season in a new life, extending his impressive pre-season form and scoring two goals from the bench.

Ferran was recently rewarded for his hard work with a call-up to the Spain national team following injuries to Olmo and Asensio.

Finally, Raphinha also seems to be picking up steam. The Brazilian was given a red card in his first La Liga game but impressed for his national team against Bolivia, as he recorded a goal and an assist.

Given the newfound competitiveness of the squad, Xavi will certainly be content with most of his options to perform at the highest level, but he now has to choose the ideal candidate for the remaining games.
