This has meaning too

Eight solid-to-great quarters of football, and four less than stellar. 2-1 looks about right … to the Lions!

That’s one way of looking at it.

Wow, it’s going to be an interesting and fun year.

Is this why you throw away any submissions sent during the game? The Inbox headline from Saturday is true, this team believes.

morning II. Losing four of the offense’s top five most important starters as well as an All-Pro defensive back before the game, and then losing two key defensive contributors during the game – strong enough. Then add four bad football quarters in a row. Mike and Wes, you each want to not judge Love and this team until we see how they react to adversity. If this isn’t an answer I don’t know what is. Happy and proud.

I’m still trying to understand that game. I have witnessed many reversals in my day, both good and bad. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one without a legit reason to believe it. Zero. Zilch. Nothing. That fourth quarter offense was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. When I think about Dallas’ 26-3 run with a backup QB 10 years ago, I remember the big Lacy run on the first play of the second half, a swing that gave a little hope. . This? This group believed more than I believed, I confess.

So, are there more questions to worry about all the bad things, like penalties and quiet three quarters of the offense? Or enjoy going back and pulling themselves back? Either way, the youth has grown tremendously, and it has done so without some key players. They have moxie.

Good word. They didn’t have that quality last week, but every game is new. There is a lot to worry about from the first three quarters, especially the penalties. To say that sin is “quiet” is being kind. But these are the types of games that bring teams together. I said after last week they need to make failure a thing. This has meaning too.

Wow! How did this happen?!?

I don’t know, Margo. Sorry, can’t resist. But honestly, I’m not sure. Back-to-back DPIs for 67 yards was the first time I thought, OK, PERHAPS they have a shot. Before that? The offense cannot get out of its own way. I don’t know how they are going to review and try to fix everything before Thursday. I don’t think they can. But I know this team will show up and play. Within 60 minutes.

It seems unfair that the Packers have to go at it again for a last-minute drive after the go ahead drive they completed. Then, the Saints kick was badly missed and it seemed the Football Gods agreed with me. Thank you very much for that. Still a lot to clean up, but it feels good to get a one-point win. I also like the ability that Love shows; he just doesn’t give up and doesn’t give up. Clements arrival last year certainly helped with that, wouldn’t you agree?

I think the arrival of Clements has done wonders for Jordan Love’s fundamentals and mastery of the offense. The part is not damaged it’s just who he is.

Baseball HOFer Reggie Jackson once had a game where he struck out four times but also hit a grand slam. Afterwards he joked, “I don’t know if I had a good day or a bad day!” I can’t think of a better way to describe this Packers game. Terrible play across the board and more stupid, stupid penalties in the first three quarters, followed by an inspired comeback and victory in the fourth. As exciting as it is, I’m sorry – we have to play better than this if we want to compete this year!

No one will deny that. It’s hard to see the Packers pulling off this comeback if the Saints don’t lose their starting QB, but the injuries Green Bay is dealing with are also huge. That’s how this game works. A 24-12 lead doesn’t mean squat if you can’t finish. A 17-0 deficit can be overcome if you can pull it off in crunch time. Everything is a learning experience, but I want to see this Packers team with the best players here soon.
