The Myrtle Beach World Am is an annual four-day individual stroke play golf tournament in South Carolina. The 2023 tournament will feature more than 3,300 players from every state and 14 countries. The Villages were well represented with 41 golfers earning them the Largest Club Award for participation.
Villages also won the title of the 2023 World Am Club Championship — a competition within a competition among clubs with many members competing individually in the tournament. It is determined by taking the best eight individual scores each day by individuals competing from different clubs to determine the club’s team score. Then the club with the best score at the end of the tournament wins the honor of the Club Championship.
The event was held August 28 to September 1.
