Klopp sings song as Gravenberch feels the love at Anfield – 4 things seen in Aston Villa’s win – Liverpool FC

Liverpool cruised to a convincing 3-0 win over Aston Villa to earn themselves a satisfying three points at Anfield and the fans had plenty to dissect after the match.

The Reds made light work of an excellent Unai Emery side to make it three wins in a row and head into the international break with 10 points from a difficult start.

Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring with a stunning left-footed strike from the edge of the box before Matty Cash’s own goal doubled Liverpool’s lead in the first half.

Mohamed Salah put the game beyond the visitors shortly after the break to maintain the Reds’ unbeaten start to the season and Alisson was rarely troubled in the second period.

Once again, there will be plenty for fans to talk about after the game on and off the pitch as Liverpool continue their impressive start to the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

Klopp’s song was sung in injury time

The manager sent a “respectful request” to supporters to refrain from singing his song at games and focus on supporting the players on the pitch.

Jurgen Klopp reacted furiously to hearing his song from the stands during the win over Bournemouth two weeks ago, but he can have few complaints about the timing on this occasion.

Entering the game in stoppage time, The Kop showed gratitude for the boss and that they listened to his request by giving his song a little airing – something he laughed with the Kop after the whole time.

The boss can be seen bowing to the supporters as he basks in the adulation after an impressive victory.

No fist bombs, but good boss interactions.

Diaz serenaded Nunez

It was another lively performance for Darwin Nunez as he was handed his first start of the season and was disappointed not to get on the scoresheet.

His performance was praised by Luis Diaz, who could be heard singing along to Nunez’s song as the pair walked down the tunnel after the final whistle.

This was followed by Alisson singing the song in an interview after the Newcastle forward’s late heroics, he seems to be a popular figure among his teammates!

Van Dijk was happy with Gomez’s performance

In the same clip, Virgil van Dijk can be seen offering warm congratulations to Joe Gomez who stepped in for the suspended captain.

There were some concerns about the defensive set-up without Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, but Gomez rose to the challenge presented to him.

It was smiles all around as the pair reunited in the tunnel at full time, with the captain beaming in his praise for Gomez’s performance.

Gravenberch welcomed

He was ineligible to take part against Aston Villa, but new signing Ryan Gravenberch got his first chance to experience a match day at Anfield as a Liverpool player.

Gravenberch was not registered in time to make his debut but he was present to watch his new teammates secure a convincing three points.

The midfielder received a warm welcome as he walked the touchline before the game and fans will be eager to see him in action after the international break.
