Jota celebration, Szobo singing & Klopp chin stroke – 5 things found against West Ham – Liverpool FC

Liverpool were 3-1 winners for the third game in a row as they beat West Ham and we pick out some interesting moments on and off the pitch.

The Reds continued their impressive start to the season thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, with Jarrod Bowen getting on the scoresheet for the visitors before the break.

It extended the winning run to six in a row and there were plenty of smiles for a Liverpool draw at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

We’ve listed some of the things you might have missed as the Reds collected another big three points.

Jota’s celebration

There was a nod to the new EA FC game from Jota as he put the game out of doubt with five minutes of play.

The Portuguese forward celebrated his goal and the release of the new video game by mimicking the logo on his hands after scoring the third goal at The Kop end to take the game away from the visitors.

Luckily for us, Jota was able to put the controller down this weekend and help fire the Reds to three real-life points on the pitch against West Ham!

Klopp’s slap in the mouth

Jurgen Klopp offered words of encouragement to Ryan Gravenberch when he was introduced to Anfield for the first time and even gave him a gentle hug as he left.

The midfielder couldn’t hold back a smile as he prepared to play in front of the crowd for the first time and clearly appreciated the manager’s motivational message.

It’s the first of many outings at Anfield in red for the Dutchman and he looks like he’s already at home!

South American love-in

There were some great scenes after the final whistle as Nunez hugged fellow South Americans Alexis Mac Allister and Luis Diaz at the end of another satisfying encounter.

The new No. Liverpool’s 9 found the net to put his side ahead on the hour and looked delighted with his afternoon’s work as he shared the chance with two of his teammates.

All three contributed greatly to a great win and they looked to be enjoying each other’s company on and off the pitch.

Szoboszlai joined The Kop

There was the usual outpouring of love for Nunez from the stands after the Uruguayan put the Reds ahead and Dominik Szoboszlai was eager to get involved!

The midfielder looked set to join in chanting Nunez’s name as the players celebrated the goal that put Liverpool 2-1 up against the Hammers.

He’s clearly a fan favorite and it appears he’s a player favorite too!

Batman in attendance

There will be an appearance from actor Will Arnett on Sunday afternoon, a man famous for playing Lego Batman, in particular!

Anfield always welcomes offers when the Reds are on the move, with Will Ferrell having been in the Merseyside derby earlier this year.

Liverpool have started the campaign well and it appears we are still a major attraction as far as A-listers are concerned!
