Jimmy Butler won points against Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open charity event

Add another clip to Jimmy Butler’s highlight reel in 2023.

In a charity exhibition match leading up to the US Open on Wednesday night, the Miami Heat star served as a honorary ball boy in the match between world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and American Frances Tiafoe.

But Butler didn’t stay on the sidelines. At one point, he grabbed a racket and jumped onto the court for a quick rally with Alcaraz, the reigning US Open champion.

Alcaraz was easy on Butler, but he seemed surprised when Butler’s last shot was out of his reach.

The Stars of the Open event, which sold out Louis Armstrong Stadium to the tune of 14,000 people, brought together some of the biggest names in tennis to raise funds for humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.
