Andy Roddick comments on Rafael Nadal being rumored as the future President of Real Madrid

Andy Roddick admitted that he was somewhat surprised by the rumors of Rafael Nadal possibly becoming the future President of Real Madrid FC. Nadal, 37, is a huge supporter of Real Madrid and it’s no secret that the Spanish tennis superstar is well-respected within the club.

Last week, Spanish media reported that Nadal could replace 76-year-old Florentino Perez when the long-time President of Real Madrid decided to step down. If that happens, Roddick thinks it will be “amazing” but knows that Nadal will probably need time to learn and gain experience on the job.

“John Elway did it with the Broncos but he was also a football player.

But it’s a surprise and it’s amazing when it happens. I think there is some work experience requirement that should be quick, it would be cool. I don’t pretend to know what’s going to happen or what he needs to know in the world but it’s an amazing headline,” Roddick said on the Tennis Channel.

Meanwhile, Nadal is currently recovering from the surgery he underwent on his psoas muscle. On June 2, Nadal underwent surgery on the injury that had kept him out since the Australian Open. In his statement after the operation, Nadal said that his recovery will take approximately five months, which means that he will not be able to play for the rest of the 2023 season.“Hello everyone.

As you know last night I had surgery. All is well and the arthroscopy is on the left psoas tendon that has kept me out of competition since January. An old labrum injury in my left hip was also regularized, which definitely helps with better tendon evolution.

I would like to thank doctors Marc Philippon, Jaume Vilaró and Angel Ruiz-Cotorro for their work. I will start progressive functional rehabilitation immediately and the normal recovery process they told me is 5 months, if all goes well.

Once again thank you for all the support you have shown me and that you show me every day. Today is also my birthday. Not in the desired or dreamed place, although THANK YOU anyway,” said Nadal in his statement.
