After a stellar Colorado debut, Travis Hunter is talking to a future NFL team

Colorado receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter had a great debut. He followed up the impressive performance by looking ahead to the future.

Via Jelani Scott of SI.com, Hunter touched on the areas he wants, and doesn’t, want to play at the next level in the first episode of his Bleacher Report show, 12 Talk.

Hunter said his favorite team is the 49ers, but that’s not his first choice for an NFL destination.

If I had my say, I’d love to stay in Colorado,” Hunter said.

He is also not nervous about the chatter that he will be a Packer.

“Everybody I talk to, says I’m going to Green Bay, I don’t know why,” Hunter. “But Green Bay is cool. I have no problem with the cold. Why am I going to Green Bay?”

Well, if he gets drafted there, he has no choice. That is one of the problems with the draft. The player had nothing to say about his first NFL destination.

Few have questioned it. Push back even less.

That could change. Between the NIL’s income and the transfer portal, it may only be a matter of time before one or more college players decide not to shrug and consider being drafted somewhere they don’t want to play. as an “honor and a privilege.” If a player is forced to go to a team he doesn’t want to play for, it’s not an honor or a privilege.
