Thomas made a lot of mistakes and suffered his worst season on the PGA Tour.

As a result of his poor campaign, the 30-year-old also went undefeated in the FedEx Playoffs for the first time in his career.

Despite his poor form, Johnson named Thomas in his Ryder Cup team as one of his six captains selected in the 12-man team along with Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Rickie Fowler and Sam Burns.

However, Thomas’ impressive 6-2-1 record in the Ryder Cup was a major factor in his inclusion.

That didn’t stop the PGA Tour’s official X account, formerly known as Twitter, from making fun of the situation.

Thomas was named to the American team ahead of the likes of Keegan Bradley, who won two tournaments including a record-setting performance at the Travelers Championship in June.

Bradley tried to get closer to the inner circle of Team USA players but in the end he still felt like “an outsider” after losing the brutal Ryder Cup snub.

“I feel like going forward I should automatically qualify for the Ryder Cup … I’m going to pull for the US team,” Bradley said. Golf Canal Tom Lewis in August.

The Ryder Cup will be played at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, Italy and will begin on September 29.
