BOSTON – Rain on the East Coast prompted Major League Baseball to reschedule Monday’s game between the White Sox and the Diamondbacks at Guaranteed Rate Field to Thursday at 1:10 p.m.
As the MLB schedule approaches the final week of the regular season, changes are being made to accommodate the scheduling. The Diamondbacks are in the thick of the National League Wild Card race.
As a thank you to fans for their support this season, the Sox are offering $1 tickets to the rescheduled afternoon game as well as free parking. Parking lots and gates open at noon on Thursday.
Due to Tropical Storm Ophelia, the Diamondbacks game on Saturday afternoon against the Yankees has been postponed. The makeup date, with the teams scheduled to conclude their three-game series on Sunday afternoon, has yet to be determined. More rain is in the forecast, and Monday’s newly opened date allows for a possible makeup day.
Season ticket holders, premium seating ticket holders, individual suite holders and patio ticket holders with tickets for Monday’s Sox game at Guaranteed Rate Field will receive credit to their accounts and free tickets for the game at Thursday. All premium seating ticket holders should contact the Sox premium seating department regarding Thursday’s game.
Refunds for all other purchases, including Ticketmaster, SeatGeek and StubHub, must be initiated at the point of purchase.
