Aryna Sabalenka had a great season, where she won the Australian Open, she reached the final of the US Open and became the new queen of the WTA ranking. The Belarusian tennis player started the year by winning her first tournament in Melbourne, winning the final against Elena Rybakina, while in New York she became the new number one in the women’s circuit.

Aryna discussed her season in an interview with Tennis Magazine. He examines many subjects, beginning with the beginning of time, in Australia.

He said: “The success in Melbourne is the biggest of my career so far, it’s something that pushes me to win more Grand Slam tournaments.

The feelings after that victory are so amazing that you can’t feel in any part of life, so I want to experience it many times.

Bad record of more than 300 double faults? It’s a psychological thing, a lot of things have happened to me in the last few years, a lot of emotions are going through my head and then the technical problems come.

I worked hard to fix it, tracking down the problem, until I got it. Now I changed the mechanics of the serve, both the movement of the serve, both the throw and my attitude.”

Sabalenka also talked about women’s doubles

Sabalenka reached the top of the doubles rankings in 2021. However, years have passed since Sabalenka left the circuit to concentrate only on singles.

Sabalenka says: “It’s very difficult to compete on two circuits, even mentally. There were times when I competed in singles and doubles in Grand Slam tournaments, but it happened that I found myself there in doubles thinking about those singles of the day After.

I’m not sure if I should give it my all or not, how to manage the balance of my energy. Despite my success in doubles, my main focus has always been on the individual circuit. That helped a lot.”
