The reigning NFC champions are looking to get back to the Super Bowl, and their first test will come against one of the NFL’s best coaches in recent decades, as the Philadelphia Eagles head to Gillette Stadium to face the New England Patriots.
The Eagles fell short of winning Super Bowl 57, but came back with another loaded roster that made them the favorite to return to the title game. Jalen Hurts was also solidified as the franchise quarterback with a huge extension that made him one of the highest paid signal callers in the league.
New England struggled offensively last season and will look to build on Mac Jones as a solid quarterback with Bill O’Brien returning to the team as offensive coordinator. The defense remains solid, but both sides will have to have big years if the Patriots want to get back to the playoffs after missing it for the second time in three years, and a win against the Eagles could the spark that Bill Belichick and company can use. .

Lorenzo Reyes: Eagles 29, Patriots 18
I never trusted the New England offense after last season, even with the additions of Ezekiel Elliott and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Philadelphia, again, reloaded this offseason and could be on pace for a Super Bowl run. I think the Eagles got four points easily.
Tyler Dragon: Eagles 28, Patriots 20
Jalen Hurts has a picture of the Super Bowl 57 loss saved on his phone. The Eagles are on a mission this season after finishing runner up. New England is still trying to find its offensive identity with Mac Jones at QB.
Victoria Hernandez: Eagles 32, Patriots 14
The Eagles are looking for redemption after their underdog season fell short of a Super Bowl title. Jalen Hurts has more of an arsenal and the defense is also well stocked. Bill Belichick is still putting his Patriots together and fighting against the treacherous Nick Sirianni.
Jordan Mendoza: Eagles 30, Patriots 16
The recent Super Bowl runners-up proved it’s possible to still compete for a Lombardi Trophy next year, and Philadelphia picked up right where it left off with a dominant victory led by Jalen Hurts. The Eagles’ defense created fits for New England, and questions still lingered over a suspect offense.
