With the first month of the Premier League season now in the books, voting is open for August’s Player of the Month.

Take a look at your options, and then vote below – but hurry because this time, voting will only be open for 48 hours before the winner is decided!

Eddie Nketiah

Eddie’s excellent form at the start of the season led to a first England call-up, making it impossible for Gareth Southgate not to select him.

He got our first Premier League goal of the campaign against Nottingham Forest before winning the penalty in our win at Crystal Palace. He then came off the bench against Fulham to get on the scoresheet again to start the season in style.

Declan Rice

Hopes were high that Declan would make an immediate impact following his summer move from West Ham United, and he did not disappoint in red and white. He was a key factor in our Community Shield success on the familiar turf of Wembley and has since played every minute of our Premier League campaign so far.

The three games in August saw him as one of our most potential attacking threats against Forest, while he was statistically our best defender against Fulham, showing his qualities throughout pitch to his new supporters.

William Saliba

Missing the last few months of last season due to injury, William returned to the heart of our defense with his usual composure and speed to stop many attacks. He was particularly impressive against Palace, making eight clearances and two interceptions to record his first clean sheet of the campaign.

He even made himself a fantastic assist for Bukayo Saka’s sensational strike against Forest by winning the ball back to the flank, as he made an unexpected impact at the other end of the field.

Ben White

Having spent the entirety of last season at right-back, Ben was moved into the center of our defense for the start, but didn’t let that faze him in the slightest.

By the end of the month, only three other players in the entire league had made more passes into the attacking third, while Ben continued to initiate our attacking moves despite the change. in position.
